What is an Airomir inhaler?

An Airomir inhaler is a salbutamol asthma inhaler that is designed to relieve symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath.

It is available in two different versions: aerosol inhalers and autohalers.

The aerosol inhaler contains a metal canister of medicine, which is released when you press down on the canister. You will need to press down on the canister to administer the medicine while breathing in at the same time.

The second option, the autohaler, requires you to prime the device and inhale through the mouthpiece. Inhaling through the mouthpiece will release a dose of salbutamol automatically. Many people prefer this version as it is simpler to operate.

You must have a prescription to buy Airomir inhalers.

What are Airomir inhalers used to treat?

Airomir is classed as a reliever inhaler and is used to provide instant relief from asthma symptoms. As a reliever inhaler, Airomir is particularly effective when used during an asthma attack due to its fast-acting properties.

Airomir works to relieve breathlessness, wheezing, and coughing by relaxing the airways into the lungs, making it a lot easier for you to breathe.

Airomir can also be used before exercise or when you know you are likely to come into contact with asthma triggers, such as dust or fumes.

How do Airomir inhalers work?

An Airomir inhaler contains the active ingredient salbutamol, which is part of a group of medicines known as short-acting beta 2 antagonists. This group of medicines work on the beta 2 receptors in your lungs. When these receptors are stimulated, the muscles in your airways relax; this allows the airways to expand and relieves symptoms of asthma and the tightness in your chest.

It will start to make it easier for you to breathe within 10-15 minutes. You should feel the full benefits of this medicine within 30 minutes.

You should speak to your doctor before using Airomir if you suffer from any of the following conditions:
